A Gorgeous Afternoon

Although the morning was cool and gray, the sun came out this afternoon and the sky was a brilliant blue. Finally, late this afternoon I was able to get out into the garden and do about an hour's work. You may remember that I planted a bulb garden in a container in my back yard a week or so ago. The sun was hitting the plants so beautifully when I got outside, so I set up my camera. This tulip is the best of the lot. I love how the sun is reflected inside the tulip and the drops outside on the left are reflecting the sky, I think, since they're blue...or perhaps picking up the blue of the container. At any rate, it fairly screams spring, don't you think?
