The Test Results

MRI was done yesterday on Colbys shoulder. The follow up telehealth video call with his surgeon took place this afternoon. MRI revealed a bigger problem than they had hoped and surgery (a Laterjet procedure) is highly recommended at this point. The sooner the better as any additional damage could result in irreparable damage and donor parts would need to be used if that were to happen.

Either way it’s a tough pill to swallow. Surgery will repair and correct but will also take him down for 6-8 weeks and for full healing - 4 months.

He’s the strongest kid I know! He’s been dealt a rough hand and this will again test his resilience.
