Brilliance
If ever there was a drug or treatment for greyge* overload, lunch at Patrick's is surely it. I don't know who Patrick is or was but he had his most brilliant idea ever when he decided to open a small satellite restaurant inside the flagship branch of the premier garden center in town. Not only is the food utterly delicious but the therapeutic value of spending two hours among living greenery can not be underestimated.
What Patrick himself couldn't provide, that came courtesy of a tiny lunch companion, is the joy and exuberance of finding miniature plants and garden implements to make fairy habitats, discovering enormous koi with gaping mouths and rows of gigantic plants among which a small body can disappear. Everything so beautiful, so special, so much wanted but not a single tantrum thrown when told we were just looking for fun.
They wanted to make it so we would think it was summer in here.
Yes they did.
If I were a bird or a fairy, I would live here.
Me too, I would like to live here right now.
Thanks for the lunch treat, special person and little person. x
