Serendiptity

I went for a walk with my friend Maxine at the weekend and I was telling her about a jumper I knitted in the 80s from cuff to cuff - a very 80s batwing-style monstrosity! I searched when I got home but couldn't find any photos.

Today someone posted a link on Facebook to some old Plymouth Poly photos and among them I found this. I have never seen this photo before  - nor the one in extras (in which I seem to be asleep sucking my thumb...) but there is the sweater. It took forever, there were hundreds of stitches on the needles and I never tried that method again. 

What a coincidence. I think I am 20 or 21 in that photo - younger than Sarah is now anyway. Happy days.
