(059) Victoria Swing Bridge

The Victoria swing bridge at leith docks is an A-Listed structure, dating from 1874, and despite undergoing restoration work which was completed in 2000 the bridge has since been left to deteriorate to a disappointing extent. Although Historic Environment Scotland have been involved in the consultation process regarding the restoration of this culturally significant structure, the bridge is in the care of Forth Ports who, hopefully, have plans to return reverse the decline.
