when my niece, on the day of mum’s move to the dementia home, was getting this sugar dispenser 
ready to pack, mum said: ‘ no don’t pack that...i promised it to that boy far away......

About 10 years ago when the whole family was together Tom, now 20, was crazy about that thing, so my mum said: ok when i die you can have it......

I find it amazing that, in al her fear and confusion, mum had clarity.....and thought of  a promise she made so long ago......mum always thought of others first .......she’s an amazing woman.....
