Viaduct Falls

Last week JZ sent me photos she took of the frozen falls and huge icicles hanging from the surrounding cliffs.  The photos didn't adequately prepare me for the feeling of actually being down on the rocks near the falls.  The water was flowing fast and loud.  I didn't chance walking too far on the ice as it glazed a very slick covering over the rocks.  She managed to get much closer to the falls and even through the tunnel above.  After a short walk at this little section of the park, we toured downtown historic Bedford.  We look forward to returning to both for further investigation.  A fun day out in the cold sunshine.
