Candle

I was too busy to go out this morning in the mist - indeed I was busy most of the day and by the time I had the opportunity to go out, it was dull and rainy and unwelcoming.  So my only outing was a brief one to the post box to post a letter.

I spotted this old candle which was originally  lit for Christmas and has been lit fairly regularly since.  I love the organic shapes created by the melting wax.  It has burned down almost all the way now, and I think my wife put it out to be dumped, but I had to blip it before it went.
