A day of bile and nastiness in Scotland’s parliament and this little sheuch of future peat or hydrocarbons seemed a suitable metaphor. Inconsequential in the long run perhaps but signal of where we are and where some would leave us. An otherwise grey cold and miserable day, all in. Save for a good pair of meetings: one with Italian colleagues discussing the environment and a second on innovation and Embra. Another city clearly.
