Renewal

In spite of the far-as-you-can-see ice in our part of the mighty St. Lawrenece river, and the significant snow still on the ground, this bud promises that spring will indeed arrive. The only other real sign I've seen so far is a distant sighting of the return of a flock of Cedar Waxwings - an early migrant in this area.
