Castaway

I have learnt two things today.
One, is that you can cast away all you like. It does'nt necessarily mean you will catch anything.

Especially if you're using cockles as bait. Because you won't catch anything round here using cockles. Said the man using kangaroo mince. And the man using cheese. Both of which had fish suspecting that something was'nt quite right here.

And far more importantly,
Two. On this particular stretch of sand it is probably unwise to wait until the tide is in, before you decide to leave. Because you will run out of sand not far from the ramp and have to recite the 'please don't bog' mantra over and over as you take the vehicle equivalent of a paddle in the sea.

Thankfully the mantra worked.
