J's maths lesson for today

J needed help with the work he's doing in the garden and asked J (13) if he would like to help. He recently got a commendation for the schoolwork he has done during lockdown so we thought it would be fine for him to delay today's work until he went home later.   He and Granddad were in the fresh air all day.  I think he enjoyed the break from being in the house all day and he was especially pleased with the reward of a large white chocolate ice-cream lolly, his favourite.
