A busy day, and still I got very little work done. Every time I tried to concentrate on my current project, the phone rang. At first, my mother phoned, very distressed, because she had managed to break her key in the lock of the garden gate.
Once this was sorted out, her care insurance phoned (to apologize for their mistake earlier this year - they've paid the difference now).
Then her tax consultant asked me to find some information for her tax return. And finally, the visit to her dentist resulted in another appointment next Tuesday, because the problems are much more complex than we thought.
And then there was the phone call from our vet. She had taken a blood sample from Chaiyya on Monday and sent it to the lab for a liver function test. The result was neither good nor too alarming (all the numbers are too high, but not completely off the scale). So we agreed to check her again in a few months and keep giving her silibinin until then.
Let's keep our paws crossed that she gets better.
