Sandra Fluke ( Rush Limbaugh's Misogynist Target)

This is moi with Sandra Fluke, who in the summer of 2012, as a third year law student at Georgetown University was asked to testify before a Congressional hearing on the need for women's reproductive health services in all insurance plans provided by employers.

The Republican chair of the Committee refused to let her testify, instead, having five men testify on the matter. Not a single woman.

The Democrats held their own hearing and let her testify. This unleashed conservative blow-hard talk show host and entertainer Rush Limbagh into a month-long (maybe longer) misogyngist rant, calling her a whore, c***, and every other possible horrifiying thing you can imagine about her personal sex life.

Today I had the plasure of meeting her before a luncheon I attended for the Arizona List, an organization dedicated to getting pro-choice women elected to office in the state - from school boards to the State legislature.

It was a very nice day. But I have been in a gerbil wheel, and despite the glorious forcast for tomorrow, plan to spent most of the day catching up on some much needed sleep.
