Amelia

Spent the day with this gorgeous girl today, along with her little sister.
I know I am biased, but she has such a lovely nature.  Very kind and thoughtful, but always ready for a laugh or a joke. She will be 9 next month, but is still very much into imaginative play.  I wonder whether children from a rural environment don't grow up quite so quickly.  My husband was a headteacher in an inner city school, and he said children of the same age seemed a lot more sophisticated and street wise.  
Anyway, the high point of today was watching a family of rats feeding on the bird food in the nature reserve. Forget the ducks and the swans "ratty rats were the firm favourites.
