Cormorant And Chihuahua
I got a couple of snaps of this slightly unusual-looking cormorant as it surfaced with a fish in its beak. Unfortunately they weren't quite sharp. :(
While Ollie and I were standing there looking at the wildfowl a little fluffy black dog approached. It was Teddy the long-haired Chihuahua who we had met with his mistress in the Bittern Hide a couple of years ago. (Extras) We walked together to the wobbly bridge. Ollie's swishing tail kept nearly knocking the tiny bundle of fluff over. As we parted Teddy kept running to be with his unlikely friend Ollie.
PS I am grateful to knowledgeable biologist Chamaeleo for pointing out that the cormorant is in breeding plumage. I love learning new facts about wildlife. :)
