Battlefield

The pigeon put up quite a fight, but in the end the sparrowhawk prevailed. The hawk was smaller than some that I've seen, and actually looked smaller than the pigeon if you ignore the long tail feathers. The pigeon didn't make an easy meal - there was so much plucking to do first.
