Roman Vindolanda

Saturday was positively Spring like so we took a trip to Vindolanda up near Hadrian's wall. I've not been since I was about 10 - I had just won a Blue Peter badge and it was the only place in Northumberland I could use it at - it's changed a lot!

It was a lovely day out and Izzy loved exploring the fort and museum - EVERY sign had to be read.
