Sycamore.

This is a Corstorphine Sycamore - it's got its own botanical name. It comes into leaf a bit earlier than other Sycamores and Maples and has a nice light green colour.

The original was down in the village but blew over in a gale in 1998. You can still see the stump, which is sprouting again.

Lovely blue sky today so we went for a walk up the hill.
