Tiffin Time!

While out for a walk we popped into our local farm shop and ordered a 'Gentleman's Afternoon Tea' for two. For two! Could hardly lift it.

Cakes, tray bakes, scones, clotted cream,  cocktail sausages aplenty (the dog reported them most agreeable), sausage rolls, pork pies, scotch eggs, quiche, crisps and yes, lashings of ginger beer.

The Gentleman's has a savoury bias but there are others available that lean towards cake.

Well impressed. Looking forward to an afternoon of grazing while watching telly - I may turn into a burst sofa yet.

We alerted neighbours as to our find and in return were tipped off that a French Bistro/ Bar in the town does a most excellent meat (Charcuterie if you are posh) and cheese platter to take away, that will be next on our list after we have demolished the cheese club mountain in the fridge.
