A Pair of Oysters

We spent the morning with my Aunt, who surprised me by wanting to go out for a little walk even though it was quite cold. As she doesn't have the chance to get out much, even without the pandemic, she was making the most of me being able to go out with her.

So we went out for our walk in the afternoon. It was quite a dull afternoon and the light was fading by the time I took this photo. But it's not often you can get this close to oystercatchers. This is the first time I've seen them this year. It's strange that they seem to like life on the lake and river during the Spring and Summer months.
