The sky at night

It hasn't been a very good past two hours especially when you have a young boy who can't get to sleep because it's "still daylight outside".

But the sun is going down now and we've just had two brushes with creation. A loud scream from our bedroom heralded the entrance of the biggest spider my wife Alice has ever seen. I think she's still in shock! It is now safely back outside in the wild.

Then a few minutes later she commented on how beautiful the sky was. Now I'm certain that my 5mp digital shot does it absolutely no justice at all, but here it is nonetheless.
