Pine cones

They caught my eye while I was on my quick 3k walk. I nearly didn't go, but instead of thinking too hard, I just laced up my runners and went out in the mud and puddles. The dog was pleased and so was I at how much stronger and fitter I am feeling again.
I think they might be Cyprus pine cones, but then I really wouldn't know. They were only about 15mm long at the most.
