Old Royal Navy badge that, according to various Internet websites, is for a Coxswain. Seem to remember being given it some time after passing my 'O' level seamanship (no Captain Pugwash jokes please!), but never got around to sewing it on. Suspect it was supposed to be on an upper arm area of my "woolly pully" - which I also still have somewhere.

Found it at the bottom of the sports medals tin. Scrapping the barrel for a Blip tonight... again.
