One More Step
Today was auspicious - one step nearer the new normal as I attended a clinic for my first Covid vaccine. The organisation was exceptional and just what I was expecting after talking to other people who have already had theirs. In fact it was so slick I had to sit in the car for 10 minutes afterwards before coming home to make sure I didn't get a reaction. So far all I feel is a slight ache in my right arm (I'm left handed). I didn't feel a thing, despite how far the needle goes in! I had my first flu vaccine last year so I think we can get used to the annual trips to be topped up with protection.
Other than that I am the Covid duty officer this weekend, ready to respond to any new outbreaks. I'm please to say (though hoping I'm not tempting fate) that all is quiet so far. Levels of cases continue to go down in the area; it will be interesting to see how things fair with the schools returning next week. early indications that there are very few positive cases amongst the students that have already been tested in our area. All seems very positive at the moment. Fingers crossed as well as in the V sign.
