Sun ripples over the lake

A short amble around the lake at Trentham with my partner this morning. We timed it well with the sunshine. It was lovely to feel a bit of heat from the sun. A leisurely coffee and cake in our favourite cafe afterwards. Sounds very chilled.

Then we came home and did some mad cleaning around the house! Exhausted now!

The statue you can just see in the background is that of the infamous Duke of Sutherland who was responsible for some of the Highland clearances. He owned Trentham Gardens, House & estate.
