Colourful moss

Decided to have a walk to-day to stop me napping- hope that will help me get over my jet lag/ early morning wakenings. Down to the river- pleasant walk with not much traffic and lots of trees. Most are still bare but with my 'blipper' eyes I was interested in noting that there was so many different colours and textures of mosses. Some of it is very green and thick, some grey/blue and almost 'painted' on the bark and some yellow with a pretty texture. Encouraging signs of impending Spring- snowdrops, daffodil shoots and buds on the trees.
