Strange but true
We have been very lucky here in Australia. This sign's not as optimistic as it seems and it's certainly unusual, even for us.
I spotted it a few weeks ago (and captured it today) in the only area of Australia that was in strict lock down over Christmas (the northern zone of Sydney's northern beaches). There was a huge testing blitz in the area just before Christmas so it makes sense that, now things have calmed down again here, we don't need as many clinics as we had then.

Today my partner and I went up to Mona Vale (in the region mentioned above) to hear "Uncle Bruce" talk about the demise of our indigenous culture as it relates, directly, to the demise of our inland river system in NSW. He made a very compelling argument that Australia is not alone in this plight. Very sobering. Without water we die - who has the right to that water - who gets it? Not simple but worth exploring.
If you'd like to know more about the overarching issues , and, if you're Australian and you'd like to help do something about it, you can make a submission to ensure our indigenous forebears gain a Voice in parliament (and no it's not a third chamber). We're all in this together, regardless of how long we've been here.
Find out more here about how to make a submission (deadline looming) and also about the beautiful, important and, so far, largely overlooked by our incumbent government, "Uluru Statement From the Heart".
