Swansea Bay Beach Walk
This morning I had to be at the hospital in Swansea for blood tests ahead of next week’s second chemo cycle and then at the Liberty stadium car park for a Covid test. That left time for a beach walk in between with the dogs.
It was so good to be out!!
I’ve had viral conjunctivitis for the last few days (not treatable) and so have missed going out in the lovely sunshine we’ve had and have been stuck indoors wearing sunglasses to shield my eyes from the brightness. It really has been very painful. Thankfully it’s starting to clear up now, one eye is still quite sore but the other is more or less better.
Hopefully the blood test results will allow me to have the next chemo cycle in two days time and my eyes will be completely better by then.
We still have a no driving for exercise rule here in Wales, so having a hospital appointment in Swansea allowed for a much needed opportunity to get to the beach. Hopefully that rule will change soon. The Covid infection rate per 100,000 in Swansea is now down to 44 but we’re still pretty much in full lockdown here, apart from 3-7 year olds being back in school!
