Punctured!

The lack of exercise over lockdown was made all too apparent to me when I had to pause twice on my climb up to Scrabo Tower from the car park. And it was so busy! Cars arrived and left constantly and there were loads of small children whizzing around.

After visiting the Tower we had a walk down to the quarry below the edge of the plateau, where pink Scrabo sandstone used to be quarried. There are a couple of kestrels nesting there, but we didn’t see any sign today, although we did see a raven (which was the size of a dog!) and a buzzard flying low over farmland nearby.

We’re now self-isolating for a week as the Ards Man has some hand surgery coming up at the end of the week, although he will be in and out in a couple of hours, I think.

Hope everyone has a good week.
