Ladybird return

I had company in the yarden this morning: a ladybird. I was really pleased to see him(?) after Paddy invested in a box of larvae last year. I wonder if this is one of them as an adult, or a descendant?

My day has been split between gardening and catching up with friends by phone and online. This morning I finished tidying the yarden, put all my plant pots in order of material, colour, and size (yes, I know), then rang Sarah on the Isle of Man. This afternoon I planted bulbs in pots in the back garden with a break for a conference call with the Foxes in Manchester.

I will return to the garden tomorrow, mainly to tackle the wild garlic.
