Red, White and Blue
Early morning walk with the spaniel through Lewes. The Red, White and Blue was a pub in Friars Walk established by the Rock Brewery in the 1850s. The green tile frontage was added by the Portsmouth and Brighton United Breweries. The pub closed in 1956 and it was turned into a house. The tiles were rendered over and only revealed a few years ago. It now runs as a cookery school for children. This is the first time I've walked past here when there haven't been vehicles parked in front, so I took the opportunity to photograph it. If you look closely you can see my reflection in the glass of the door, but not that of the spaniel.
