Project 365 day 66: Tulips

It's a joy to have a vase of tulips on the table. They are just ordinary tulips, in four colours, but I love everything about them: their crisp, pointy shapes, the curves and squeakiness of the leaves, the way the petals wrap and overlap, and how they started to open a little in brief lunchtime sun, then silently closed again without me noticing it happening. They were a belated birthday present to my daughter, and there's a great sense of security in knowing that if all else fails - and it might - I will have a week's worth of photos for the taking without leaving my table.
