Demolition Alley!

Today I couldn't resist revisiting the small car park to see how the demolition work on our old pad was going ahead......and horror of horrors!!!

The block to the right is under the hammer! and the one to the left (that brown monstrosity) is the one GK and I were in. It looks like it is next on their agenda and their bulldozer is doing some mighty munches of its existing meal....so guess it won't be too long!

Always wonder what happens to the resident 'vermin' when something like this happens. You can almost hear the scampering of little cockroach feet as they pack their bags and get ready for the mass migration! Don't think their highway road skills would be up to much so hoping they'll not cross over and come to bug us again!

That is definitely one thing we haven't experienced here in this new flat...never a one have we seen! Would automatically assume they aren't good with stairs but I know in Cyprus where SA was, they definitely climbed stairs!!!

In fact there, they had such huge specimens you could have saddled them up and ridden them into town!!

Glad there's a sea between us and Cyprus!!

The makers of Creature Comforts would have us believe they are respectable little fellows in the film they made clalled "Flushed Away" but I'm not fooled!!!!

In the same way Disney of all people, wanted us to believe rats were ok in the kitchen in their film "Ratatouille,"!

O standards do be droppin' nowadays somethin' awful!!!!!

If you do have a problem with them...they love nibbling on a paste of bicarbonate of soda, flour and water, but it makes them explode!!!
