Arctic Hare tracks

The track we skied today as we got further away from town had quite a few of these tracks. We have never seen an Arctic hare (apart from the stuffed one they have in the hotel) but it is nice to see the tracks. We have seen Reindeer - they run away a poo a lot) and Capercaillie - they are very territorial, and if they choose to strut their stuff on the ski track don't go near them as they will peck you - as I found out one year.

This hare has quite amazingly without changing his gait used his nose to mark out 200 in the snow. Pretty impressive work.
