Copyright

Copyright is so easy to forget about when you’re in the moment but really important for Blipfoto to uphold.  Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with this post - all the information you need is here on both copyright and moderation.  Remembering and respecting this stance saves a lot of unnecessary stress for everyone.

Adding and using tags

Looking back on your own journal will most likely become more important to you as time goes on. Careful tagging with each entry will help you find what you’re looking for quickly. 

To search for photos in your journal with tags you’ve used, in the Search box, use your journal name and the tagged word, like this:

by wharfedalebex tagged ice

or, more speedily:

@wharfedalebex #ice

Forgotten to tag?  You can also search on your username and a word you think you used in that journal entry write-up.  Like this:

by richard wasp

or, more speedily:

@richard wasp




Using the Calendar

If you’re in a journal entry - yours or someone else’s - you can click on the calendar icon next to the date of the post.  Click the date, month or year to be transported back in time. If you’re looking at a journal older than a year, you’ll also see an icon to click to the image taken a year ago.  Fun to find out where you were this time last year!




Finding blippers you follow 

Are you trying to get back to the blipper you follow with the tricky journal name?  Once you’ve started following a few blippers, it can be hard to remember everyone’s quirky names and spellings.  Try this:

In the search field, type @ and then start with the first letter of their journal.  So, if you’re trying to find WharfedaleBex:

@w will bring up the list of people you follow with journals beginning with w.  Keep typing the name of the journal until the whole journal name is in the search field. Then, press enter and it’ll take you straight there.




Enjoy social media?

Did you know you can post your blips automatically to your social media accounts on Twitter and Facebook?  Check out the settings options by clicking on your journal name on the menu bar.
