Potential

Relatively quiet day of various meetings and reading/prep for events later. Rather grey again but some brightness at lunchtime so I took a fast walk zig-zagging across the Meadows to rack up some steps and get the blood pumping. Took the inevitable Crocus photos - close ups this time rather than trying to capture the 'carpet' look, but then saw that the cherry trees were swelling at the buds....they only have a few weeks before they'll be covered in blossom but today against the grey sky that felt a long way away!
Supper and chatted to A about them having a mortgage appointment and how it makes them both feel scarily grown up (at nearly 30!).then book group discussing Luckenbooth. Most had enjoyed it - several of us against our expectations. So good to see everyone again and remember that it was almost exactly a year ago that we last met in person. There are a lot of those anniversaries coming up and we talked about how long we felt it all might last this time last year....I know I was planning for a couple of months of disruption to everyday life and then the long term planning was more about assuming international students may not travel here. Probably just as well I didn't know!
