Blyth & Tyne railway

The station, at Bedlington Station, closed almost 50 years ago but the line is still used for freight. There have been calls to reopen the stations along the line - probably take another 50 years to get those plans off the ground.
I had an urban walk today - from a garage nr Bedlington Station (new tyre being fitted - or at least would have been fitted had they not ordered the wrong size), back home. About 2 miles. Even if they did open the station, it’s still a hike
