The Woodland Garden (Monday 8th March 2021)
After months of dormancy the Woodland Garden is beginning to wake up, and plants that appeared to be dead are showing signs of life. This potted acer in the patio area behind the outbuilding is just starting to revive, before its acer neighbours. The magnolia next to it is also beginning to bud.
I asked to keep the surplus 3 metre rafters as I thought they could be used in pairs for shelving, and I have stored them in the car port rafters. The plum blossom is fully out now so I got more shots of it. I gather land gales are predicted this week, so again it seemed a good idea to get in first.
The scaffolders have yet to return and there are a few little jobs for the builder when he returns with them.

Marvin Gaye - That's The Way Love Is (recorded by 6 December 1968, Hitsville Studio A, Detroit MI)
When I first bought the album That's The Way Love Is in 2006 (on a 2-on-1 CD with MPG) I added a note that this track was sampled by Tricky on his debut single Aftermath in 1991. Of course I had forgotten that by the time I played back the CD on this day as part of my Marvin Gaye Motown re-exploration, so I had a jolt of recognition when that sinister electric piano opened the track.
