The River Bovey at Parke

Another lovely morning but I was aware that the weather will be deteriorating after today. Marian had arranged to meet a friend at Parke this afternoon so I hitched a ride and went for my own walk while they went off to do theirs.

The favourite walk for me is to keep as close to the river bank as I can so I worked my way up the bank. There's been a lot of work going on to tidy this bank, some trees removed and a lot of scrub. It gives better views and when it all wears in it will be a big improvement, I'm sure. The weather had already clouded over a little but It was a nice walk. I took a different route back which went away from the river and included a coronary inducing hill at the end.
