Looking at Water

What is it about water - we love to go near to it ....and just look at it.  This is a launch ramp for small craft and paddle boarders etc.  Many a time you will find that people just love to stroll down to the edge,  stand there and take in the moment ,  turn round and walk back to their car,  parked  in the best position to catch the sun through the glass,  have a sandwich and pour a coffee from a thermos flask.  And was there ever anything wrong with that - absolutely not.  Is it a Brit thing or a world wide pastime.
