Cabbage white on cauliflower

My cauliflowers seem to be attracting a lot of wildlife - beetles, spiders, earwigs, one or two snails, and now this large white butterfly. Fortunately the cauliflowers seem to be one step ahead this year and are still fairly intact when picked.
I had a quiet day - some gardening including weeding and sowing quite a lot of flower and herb seeds - which may or may not grow - I don't usually have much luck - or skill - with seeds.
