Anidder Tattie Krø
A breezy day, fairly dull and overcast. The winds has picked up this evening, coming a gale, and meant to bring rain with it. Right cold in the wind.
I've been working in the museum all day, and a good few folk around. Walkies after work, but mostly a quiet evening at home. I will try and get another walk in, before the rain starts. One month today, since our last Covid-19 case in Shetland, and we still haven't moved out of tier 3. Exactly a year today, since our first cases here.
I headed down the road for my lunchtime walk. As I walked around the old houses at Fladdabister, I noted the recent work clearing about the doors. I also stumbled upon this newly discovered tattie krø. On a similar style to on a blipped last week, but with a deeper hole, to hold the tatties. Not sure when it would have been last used, probably about the 1930s. Taken behind the Dutch house, Fladdabister.
