Green!

I only went out as far as the recycling bins today - except that my eye was caught by a haze of green at the top of the street so I went up to have a look. Too early for leaf-age, of course, but the alders are very reliable in the way they put out their catkins before almost everything else. They're the last patch of green in the autumn too, as their leaves don't change colour - they just stay green until the first frost when they turn black and fall off.

I had to wait in for the new phone to be delivered. I think most stuff has been transferred from the old one, by elfish magic it seems, although I'm still waiting for the SIM to catch up with itself. New devices, aren't they exhausting?
