What is it?

The teacher I work with was given this as part of some new resources for the classroom she had no idea what it was so asked me I also had no idea so we googled the code number from the company it was bought from and discovered it was called a 'penny licker' and it was used to hold ice-cream before cones were introduced they could then be washed and used again but they were removed from use in the 1920s due to health and hygiene reasons. Well you learn something new everyday.
