Moorhen at the boating pond

Another poor-quality photo of the local wildlife (I really need a proper camera), this time of one of the moorhen floating around the Queens Park boating pond. This one was perched on top of a submerged traffic cone and was making a lot of noise. I've only seen moorhen up on the canals in the north of the city - they must have migrated south for the winter!
