M1

We travelled to see our friends Liz and Genny who live just outside Derby. As usual Liz laid on an excellent lunch then we relaxed in front of the wood burner and put the world to right for the rest of the afternoon whilst Lizzie and I polished off the rest of the bottle of red.

As Ann was driving I took a few photos of the motorway scenery on the way home. This picture was taken on the M1 of this green and pleasant land (unfair I know, there are more beautiful open parts of these islands than there are industrial, I suspect).
