The last mists clearing

I made an early start with the bread making so as to make the most of the sunshine. We walked high above the fortified garrison town of Villefranche (see extra). It was warm in the sunshine and the open views were lovely. We were back for lunch and I decided in the afternoon to augment my dwindling biscuit supply. I made 70 ginger cookies so that should keep me going with morning coffee and supper time treats for a month or so.
