Day 069/21. A happy day at work

A wet and miserable day outside today. But I spent most of it working in the cockpit of our flying boat at the museum. It was built in 1943 as a Sunderland MkIII.
A job that should have taken me 30 minutes took the best part of 3 hours as I dropped a crucial piece behind the rudder pedals into its guts and then spent ages trying first to find it, then to get hold of it. Eventually a gripper and some sticky tape retrieved it safely. Installation then proceeded as planned.
