Wood in the woods . . .

Out for a stroll after work (how all my posts start these days) and decided to just to take the prime lens to challenge myself a bit. The weather was pretty driech, and I had to work quite to find anything of real interest. 

I was surprised to find this snarled piece of timber, that I must have walked past a couple of dozen or so times yet never noticed. I loved the different textures and swirling patterns.
